A Merry Christmas Greeting and Update

Hello dear readers!
I know it's been way too long since I've posted here. I had my second hip replacement surgery this past June, and am doing very well. Besides my recuperation from surgery, my life is still full of stress on the home front, which is just the way it is when a spouse has dementia and personality issues. Chronic stress doesn't help with accomplishing things in a timely manner, and that has hindered my desire to keep you informed of what I'm doing in regard to my sewing projects.
I intend to be more diligent in that area as I have some new bags I want to make!
And...I just purchased a serger! Received it yesterday and as I've never used one, this will involve a learning curve for sure. Creating more knit clothing using this machine will transform my sewing skills more than ever before. My mind is swirling with what I want to accomplish in the next year. I'm excited!
I finally completed my very first "Mary Poppins" carpet bag in my most favorite fabric! My new carpet bag accompanied me to the hospital for my overnight stay for my hip replacement surgery. It's SO beautiful!
My next post will showcase the details on that bag. Stay tuned!
Since Christmas Day is tomorrow, I will keep this short as I know everyone is very busy getting ready for the holiday.
I know there are lots of people going through huge trials and are not likely to enjoy the holidays as they should. I can understand that totally. But...as I am always and everyday praying to the LORD to help me through my current struggles in life, I hope that my readers are doing the same. The LORD is there for you!
The most important thing this season is not the presents or the pretty lights and decorations or even the food, but what IS important is who and what you are celebrating along side those things.
To remember and celebrate that Jesus Christ came to this earth as a baby to later die on the cross - and rise from the dead - for the sins of the world. A personal trust in Christ is how we obtain eternal life. And that life is only through God's son, Jesus Christ.
If there are any reading this who would like to communicate with me on this subject, please feel free to reach out to me via my email address (linda@ladyelsielee.com).
I will be writing again soon and on a regular basis - if nothing prevents me - to show you the sewing projects I've been working on the past several months that include clothing. Plus, I have some beautiful velvet fabrics waiting to be stitched into "Mary Poppins" carpet bags that will be sold in my shop. The fabric prints are SO pretty!
If you need a LATE Christmas gift (or a birthday coming soon), I recently added several more of my regular carpet bags with cord handles. And I have jewelry pieces to choose from also. I believe it's never too late to send someone a gift! Right? Check out the link at the top of my website or click HERE to connect directly to my shop.
Until next time...

Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
